Beautiful Mountains and Snow on the Contiental Divide - Elevation 12,126 Feet

Any day in the mountains is a great one ...
June 1, 2014 - As a cyclist and resident of Buena Vista, I do a lot of riding on Chaffee County Road 306. On this day, I biked a five-mile section in the lower canyon. Upon returning back, I drove to the top of Cottonwood Pass. Oh yes, the pass is open and there is plenty of snow up there. Below are eight photos and two videos from the excursion.

When the elevation is over 12000 feet, the oxygen is less, but one's joy and happiness will be more. :)

Love all that amazing snow! Don't go near those cornices, though.

Below timberline, Jones Mountain looked large and imposing.
