Snow Remaining In The Forest Near Cottonwood Pass (Photo Gallery)

Snow in the Forest June 17, 2006 - I did some hiking inside the Chaffee County side of the pass and snapped photos of the snow that still remains in the forest. Surely there will be people in places like Georgia and Arizona who will be amazed by this! :)
Snow Ah yes ... snow in June! :)

Snow in the Forest

More snow! At this point in the season, remaining snow can thank the trees for doing a great job of blocking the snow from direct sunlight.
Patch of Snow Colorado wildflowers flowers growing next to a patch of snow.
Rocky Mountains in Colorado That's me! This is one of the joys of living in Colorado. :)
Cottonwood Pass Road Where did I take these photos? About 1.5 miles east of Cottonwood Pass. Some snow exists on the sides of the road, but it is certainly and noticeably melting.
